Before you start

  • Access to the Booking.com extranet (admin.booking.com).
  • The property already added under Properties & rooms.
  1. Step 1

Open Sync calendars in the extranet

Log in on admin.booking.com. Open “Rates & Availability” and choose “Sync calendars”. In some versions of the extranet the menu is called “Calendar & Pricing”.

  2. Step 2

    Add a calendar connection

Click “Add calendar connection”. If it asks you to import first, you can press “Skip this step” — importing Airbnb is covered in the guide on keeping both calendars in step.

    Give the connection a name, e.g. “Smarthoster-bg”.

  3. Step 3

Choose “Booked dates only” and copy the link

Under “Export options” choose booked dates only. Copy the export link (it ends in .ics) and click “Done”.

Important: Booking.com labels every event in its calendar the same way, so every date in the link is taken as a booking. If you also export closed dates, blocked days — and dates imported from Airbnb — show up as fake Booking.com bookings.

  4. Step 4

    Paste the link into Smarthoster-bg

Open Calendar sync → “Property calendars” and paste the link into that property's “Booking.com calendar export URL”. It saves when you click outside the field.

  5. Step 5

Turn Booking.com sync on and check

At the top of the page switch Booking.com on. Then on Bookings press “Sync now” — upcoming bookings appear with their dates.

Optionally connect Gmail too: it adds Booking.com's real booking number and, for a request to book, the number of guests and the price.

Questions about this step

Can I connect Booking.com with Gmail only, without the link?

No. Booking.com's confirmation emails don't include the check-out date, so bookings are created from the calendar link. Gmail only adds to them.

I can't find Sync calendars in the extranet.

Booking.com doesn't offer calendar export for every property — for example when it's connected to a channel manager. Then enter bookings by hand, or ask Booking.com's support.

Booking.com bookings appeared for dates that are really Airbnb's.

Your Booking.com export connection probably includes closed dates. Change it to “Booked dates only”; the fake future bookings disappear at the next sync.
